The Red Sea takes its name from the periodic algal blooms that occur here painting the sea with a reddish hue, and not from the red-tinted Egyptian mountain ranges that surround it. It is a divers paradise, with warm, calm seas, a plethora of marine life, and unsurpassed visibility. This is an amazing opportunity to explore the underwater treasures of the Red Sea as well as the culturally and historically rich city of Cairo and surrounding sights. Enjoy a week of spectacular diving followed by touring the Pyramids, the Valley Temple, Sphinx of Giza, and the Nile River.

The Diving
The Red Sea is considered to be one of the 7 wonders of the underwater world, harbouring more than 1000 species of invertebrates and over 200 species of hard and soft coral. This forms the basis of a marine ecosystem which includes 1,100 species of fish, of which just under 20% are endemic. The high level of endemic. THe high level of endemic species in the Red Sea is one of the main factors that makes diving in Egypt so interesting. Red Sea diving offers unobstructed opportunities to spot tropical marine life in crystal clear waters, ranging from sharks to dolphins to gorgonian sea fans and feather stars. This particular charter on the M/V Tala also offers expeirenced divers the use of technical diving equipment including scooters, mixed gases, and double cylinders for extended range decompression diving. Technical diving experience is required to use this specialized equipment.
Our Accommodations
The M/V Tala is a 37 meter steel-hulled luxury dive yacht., perfectly suited for cruising the open sea. Private cabins with double beds and en suite facilities ensure comfort throughout your dive holiday. Meals are a combination of local and western cuisine, focusing on fresh, local produce. Changes, cancellations, and refunds
A minimum of $100 per person will be charged for cancellation once deposit has been
made.
If you make changes to the reservation it may result in additional fee. Cancellation
180 days or more prior to departure a refund will be given based on reselling your
space less any penalties by the vendors. Cancellation 179 days or less prior to
departure, the original deposit will be forfeited as well as any penalties from
the vendors. Cancellation 119 days or less prior to departure, or if you are a no-show,
no refunds will be given.
A passport is required for travel to destinations outside of the U.S.
**Dive sites may vary due to weather conditions and logistics.
