The Diving
The Galapagos Islands offer the experienced, adventurous diver a rare opportunity to dive with some of the most sought after marine species in the world. The unique combination of warm and cold water attracts large pelagics and indigenous animals from these magical islands. The primary attraction in the Galapagos are the large pelagics, like Galapagos sharks, huge schools of hammerheads and whale sharks. You will see a rare combination of warm and cold water species including sea lions, manta rays, penguins, eagle rays, turtles and moray eels. Occasionally, there are even sightings of dolphins, marlin, whales, orcas and ocean sunfish (the mola mola)! One third of the in-shore marine species are found nowhere else on earth!
