OFD Annual Highway Cleanup - WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!
A massive Ocean First Divers 'THANK YOU!' to everyone who joined us in our April 27th Highway Cleanup! With almost twenty people, including a contigent of enthusiastic high-schoolers from the local Teens4Oceans chapter, we managed to clear 45 bags of trash. That's an estimated 800 pounds of garbage removed from our stretch of the Diagonal Highway. The items that can be recycled were returned to the shop, and the rest of the bags were left for the CDOT crews to pick up. Our tired but satisfied volunteers then met at Ocean First Divers for a well-deserved BBQ and a spontaneous game of volleyball.
