January 25th:
Ocean First Divers Presents: Alison Rockwell from the National Center for Atmospheric Research

Alison working with students in the Maldives.
Much of our current research into climate modeling is built off observations from ocean buoys, data collecting flights in planes covered in scientific equipment, and from satellite measurements. Alison's work with the Earth Observation Laboratory's DYNAMO project is part of an international research study, which has scientists traveling all around the globe, especially to places better known for their diving, to collect data to improve our understanding of the complexity of our globe's climate.

Alison is the liaison between the incredible science that EOL supports and the greater community. Alison has worked in the outdoor and science education for years, including several years as an Outward Bound instructor and a high school science teacher. When she's not in the office, you can usually find her on the trails either running or mountain biking right here in Boulder.
