Open Water Certification Dives

In order to complete your SSI Open Water certification, you will need to do 4 check out dives within 6 months from completing the class and pool portions.  Check out the great options Ocean First Divers offers and come diving with us!

Continuing Education Certification Dives

Please check with a OFD staff member on how many dives you will need to complete for your specific certification. Your class price may include the open water training fees. 

 

KEY LARGO, FLORIDA

Complete your open water dives with Ocean First Divers in the warm waters of the Florida Keys.  Fly on Thursday, dive Friday and Saturday, and return on Sunday.

TRIP COST INCLUDES: Hotel, transfers, breakfasts and lunches, and 7 dives (4 of which are Open Water check-out dives).

HOMESTEAD RESORT, UTAH

Complete your open water dives with Ocean First Divers in the 95-degree warm water (no wetsuit!) of Homestead Crater in Midway, Utah.  See the friendly staff of Ocean First Divers regarding the many options for lodging.  Drive time from Boulder is approximately 7-8 hours and can vary greatly depending on the weather.

Open Water Diver CERTIFICATION FEE:  $250 per student
INCLUDES: Crater entrance fees, tanks, weights, OFD instructor, and 4 dives

Prices do not include tax, rental gear, lodging, meals, or transportation.
All divers are required to transport their own tanks, weights, and dive gear to and from the dive site.

Rental gear cost for the weekend: $50 + tax
Includes: BCD and a regulator set with a dive computer and compass.

 THE BLUE HOLE, SANTA ROSA, NEW MEXICO

The Blue Holes is an ideal place to complete your Advanced Open Water or Stress and Rescue Diver certification. Located in Santa Rosa, New Mexico, along the old Route 66, the Blue Hole is a natural sinkhole filled with cold, clear water, and even a few Koi! Dropping down to 80 feet, this aquifer-fed dive site is perfect for Drysuit certifications and Deep dives. See the friendly staff of Ocean First Divers regarding the many options for lodging.  Drive time from Boulder is approximately 7-8 hours and can vary greatly depending on the weather.
